Thanks for last week's festival of vitriol. This column is nothing if not topical and Halloween seems like a fine opportunity to corral songs that are in some way about the supernatural: ghosts, ghouls, witches, vampires, zombies, werewolves and even Halloween itself. They can be as literal as Michael Jackson's Thriller or as figurative as Ghost Town by the Specials. And who could forget MC Hammer's timeless theme from the Addams Family movie? "Like the Addams, yo, they def!"
For anyone who finds the devil, hate and the supernatural in quick succession a bit much, I promise a more upbeat theme next time. Maybe raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens …
