Well. As predicted the Nicola Formichetti debut at Mugler was quite a scene. Here are the top 8 things I learned from the show ...

1. It takes a Lady Gaga appearance to stop everyone talking about Galliano for five minutes.

2. Italian blog goddess Giovanna Battaglia is a bit of a mover. She was itching to dance during the show.

3. Speaking of which, really loud, seat reverberating music makes a fashion show more exciting.

4. Formichetti is about the most popular man in fashion right now. The crush backstage to congratulate the vest-wearing man of the hour was intense, even the ultra smooth Mario Testino looked a little flushed by it all.

5. "Fringe wings" ie fake hair pieces standing up like brushes on the side of the head is not a look that will take off in real life judging by the models' winces as they were removed backstage.

6. Anna Wintour was reportedly smiling, which makes the Mugler show a triumph by any standards.

7. I still don't like the smell of "Angel" the Mugler scent which was the gift left on every seat at the show.

8. Francesco Scognamiglio is the label to name-drop should you find yourself in the company of Anna dello Russo. She loves it. So does Madonna. So does Gaga. If in the unlikely event that you have a style overlap with any of those three women then I suggest you too investigate.
