A BBC3 documentary fronted by former The A-Team star Mr T has fallen foul of media regulator Ofcom despite the BBC’s attempts to justify the broadcast of 25 instances of “bitch” in just two minutes in the teatime show. World’s Craziest Fools prompted four complaints from viewers after it featured the song Move Bitch by rapper Ludacris over a collection of comedy car clips. The BBC, in its response to Ofcom, said BBC3’s younger viewers were down with this sort of thing, and argued that the repetition of “bitch” in such a short space of time meant “its capacity for offence was blunted rather than intensified”. Not so, said Ofcom, which ruled it inappropriate for a pre-watershed show, broadcast just after 7pm on 30 June this year, when lots of children were likely to be watching. In other words, quit your (offensive) jibber jabber.
